Rough Cut

Filming for the first time wasn't as easy as we thought; however we all took on a role to make the filming process rum smooth. With the rough cut; we came to realise after blogging it; that certain shots weren't needed and the we had to cut some lenghtly shots. Also at that stage in time we had to make suitable soundtrack for our title sequence. And because the rough cut didn't have a soundtrack; when watching it back its didn't look very good nor looked professional.
When tring to make the rough cut we had trouble with some shots we filmed; we noticed that the lighting in some shots were brighter than in others. So when re-editing for our final piece we had to re do shots; enorder for it to look satisfying and aslo great. We also had major problems with certain shots that were outside; due to the lack of lighting in the shots. A few outside shots had to be re done too; because there were too dark to see what was happening. So rushed out the next day to do the filming. We learnt the technique of having a black background and having the object well lit, so it was easier change the contrast if needed.
We all learnt from the small mistakes and carried out the re-filming successfully, for the final cut for our title sequence. We manage to get the shots we needed and extras; just in case they were needed. When we came to edit the final cut it wasn't so diffcult nor completely time consuming. But before we edited the final cut we, did the titles for the title sequence and this wasn't and easy process to do. We chose to do the title's before we had finished the actual final cut. This was because we didnt want to spend extra time on tring to do them after the title sequence was done. Only becuase we wanted to avoid problems when tirng to import them in, so we did them so we didnt have to come back and do them.
During the time spent editing for the final cut, Sheree and myself done the soundtrack. Want wanted to something authentic and original; so we watched a clips from thriller films that gave us an idea what we were looking for. We both watch Haloween, which was incredible we also found when watching the clip we notice the fast cut editing. We took note of this and tried to minic the type of fast past editing for our title sequence. We also watch a short piece from the Shining, this clip help us more becuase the clip was dedicated more on the sound than on the acting. So we weren't overly distracted on the acting but listen to the soundtrack; we tired our bless when creating the soundtrack, but at times we did fall and found certain areas diffcult to develope.
In the end we ended up with a pretty good soundtrack that had insiraption from major films.
